Powerbox Australia is pleased to confirm that a selection of Schaefer Elektronik railway battery chargers, including specific models from the B500, B600, B1500, B2500, and B2600 Series, has received Preliminary Type Approval (C0192) from Queensland Rail.

This approval confirms the suitability of these high-reliability AC/DC battery chargers for use in critical signalling and level crossing infrastructure, in line with Queensland Rail’s engineering, operational, and lifecycle requirements.
“We are proud to support Queensland Rail with a proven, standards-aligned power solution” said James Rutty, Director at Powerbox Australia. “Our engineering team has worked closely with both the signalling and standards groups to ensure each configuration meets performance expectations across all duty and environmental conditions.”
Approved Schaefer models are available in both wall-mounted and 19 inch rackmount formats, with output voltages of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc, and power ratings from 250 W to 700 W.
