The Delta MEB-1K5A features include current sharing, conformal coating, Class B conducted and radiated EMI, remote on/off control, analog voltage trimming, green LED indicator, and intelligent fan speed control. The series operates from -20°C to +70°C with derating above 50°C, supported by active fan cooling.

The MEB-1K5A (1500W) delivers 25% more output power than the MEB-1K2A (1200W). Both offer 24Vdc and 48Vdc outputs, PMBus interface, parallel operation, and the same enclosed panel-mount format with intelligent fan. Choose the MEB-1K5A when the load power budget exceeds approximately 1100W continuously or where growth headroom above the MEB-1K2A's rating is needed.
PMBus v1.3 digital interface for voltage adjustment, output monitoring, and fault reporting. Analogue ±10% voltage adjustment. Active current sharing for N+1 parallel redundancy or combined power scaling. Remote ON/OFF control in both normal and inverted logic — useful for interlock systems and sequenced power-up in complex equipment.
The MEB-1K5A provides 2×MOPP (Means of Patient Protection) input-to-output isolation per IEC 60601-1 3rd edition. This requires leakage current levels low enough for devices that may be used on or near patients — a mandatory requirement for Class I medical devices under Australian TGA and IEC60601-1 compliance.
Approximately 92% typical efficiency at full load, 230Vac. Cooling is via an intelligent variable-speed fan that adjusts speed based on load and temperature — minimising audible noise under partial load while maintaining thermal performance at full power.
