Powerbox supplies the Polarium range of smart lithium-ion batteries, backed by Australian engineering support built on more than five years of deployments across the region. A Swedish energy storage specialist, Polarium designs 48V lithium batteries on a fifth-generation LFP (lithium iron phosphate) platform, chosen for its thermal stability and long service life compared with older chemistries.

The range is delivered as 19-inch rackmount modules spanning 50Ah to 250Ah, letting installers match capacity to the application without redesigning the enclosure or wiring as requirements grow. Every unit ships with an in-house multi-layer BMS (battery management system) that manages cell balancing, thermal protection and communication, and integrates via Modbus with Studio, the manufacturer's monitoring software, giving operators remote diagnostics and fleet-wide visibility from a single interface.

The batteries also carry a patented Anti Theft Device, a feature purpose built for the remote and semi-attended sites common in telecommunications and utility deployments, where physical security matters as much as electrical performance. Cycle life is rated for repeated deep discharge without significant capacity fade, supporting the long service intervals expected of critical infrastructure such as base stations, substations and hybrid microgrids.
