Built around nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) cell chemistry, the Polarium SLB48-050-124-2 provides an exceptional calendar life of 20 years at 80% state of charge. This longevity makes it a strong fit for always-on telecom sites, remote installations and hybrid or off-grid power systems where battery replacement access is limited or costly.
The battery is certified to IEC62619, IEC62368 and UN38.3, covering operational safety, equipment safety and safe transport. Its integrated BMS-controlled circuit breaker, automatic cell balancing and anti-theft device add layers of protection suited to unattended or remote deployments. The 48Vdc nominal voltage aligns with standard telecom DC bus architectures and pairs directly with Polarium's wider SLB48 battery series for scalable capacity.
The 19-inch 2U form factor fits standard rack cabinets, keeping deployment flexible across indoor telecom shelters and equipment rooms. RS485 and Modbus communication allow full local monitoring through Polarium's PC Studio software, with remote management over Modbus for sites that require visibility without truck rolls.
