How they work
Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking keeps the array at its optimal operating point as light conditions change, with a peak efficiency of 98%. The multi-stage adaptive charge algorithm supports lead-acid, gel and AGM batteries, and absorption and float voltages can be adjusted to match the battery manufacturer's specification. Built-in Bluetooth lets you configure and monitor each controller from the VictronConnect app, and the VE.Direct port connects it to a GX device such as the Cerbo GX for system monitoring and data logging.

Load output and battery protection
Each Victron SmartSolar MPPT in this group has a dedicated load output (15A, or 20A on the 100/20) that disconnects DC loads at a configurable low-voltage threshold. The BatteryLife algorithm adjusts that threshold over time to prevent chronic undercharging, a common cause of early battery failure where solar input is intermittent. Protection covers battery reverse polarity (fused), output short circuit and over-temperature.

Typical uses include remote monitoring and telemetry stations, CCTV, LED lighting, trackside and roadside equipment, and RV, caravan and marine solar systems.
