Delta designed the DPR 850 EnergE for 1U shelf solutions, and its 1U height and very short depth suit space-critical installations. Modules are hot-pluggable with connectors at the rear, so a module can be added or replaced without powering down the system. Modules share load across the DC bus, and a Delta ORION controller handles system control and monitoring over CAN bus.

Delta specifies the DPR 850 EnergE for space-critical wired and wireless broadband applications, including LTE, 4G and 5G networks, fixed-line networks and datacom. Speed-controlled fan cooling keeps audible noise very low, and built-in protection guards the module against loss of neutral and AC overvoltage on the mains supply.
