The Camtec ESB00351 is built for the next tier: 30A continuous circuits where inrush events are larger and the consequences of tripping a circuit breaker are more serious.

An industrial-grade single-phase inrush current limiter rated at 30A continuous (35A peak, 24.8A RMS), the ESB00351 operates on 184–264Vac networks at 47–63Hz. Limiting is precise to ±6% every cycle — no NTC thermistor degradation over time. Maximum capacitive load is 10,000µF. After the 150ms limiting period, an integrated bypass relay connects the load directly to the AC network so full load current passes through unimpeded.

The ESB00351 is self-powering and requires no external supply, but PE connection is mandatory — this is a Protection Class I device. Natural convection cooling is used; for high ambient temperatures or enclosed installations, forced convection of >20 CFM may be required. The largest permitted upstream MCB is 30A. A 20-second cool-down period between successive limiting actions is required to prevent overheating.

The ESB00351 is designed for capacitive loads only and is not suitable for use with transformers, AC motors, heaters, or DC voltage applications. Note the narrower frequency range (47–63Hz) compared to other ESB series — it is not rated for generator, marine, or rail power environments.

Housed in an aluminium IP20 metal enclosure (65×124×96.6mm, 0.81 kg) on DIN-Rail TS35mm. Spring-type terminals accept up to 16mm² / 6AWG (strip 12mm, torque 1.2–2.2 Nm). CE and UKCA marked. Rated to IEC/EN62368-1, IEC/EN61010-1, IEC/EN61010-2-201, IEC/EN60950-1, and IEC/EN60204-1. EN55032 Class B EMI compliance, EN61000-6-3 emission and EN61000-6-2 immunity standards. MTBF: 622,732h (IEC61709). Operating temperature: −40°C to +60°C continuous. Altitude max: 2,000m.
