The Camtec ESB001 is a precision inrush current limiter designed for capacitive loads on 230Vac 16A networks, operating across a wide frequency range of 16⅓Hz to 440Hz. Built for LED applications, complex automation systems, and machine building environments, the ESB001 effectively eliminates nuisance tripping of pre-installed circuit breakers and prevents damage to relay and line switch contacts, without relying on a simple NTC solution. It features an integrated bypass relay that seamlessly transitions the load to direct AC connection after the limiting period, and an internal thermal fuse that protects against overheating and fire.

Available in two variants, the ESB001.24.230Vac (24A peak, 2,200µF max capacitive load) and the ESB001.LED.230Vac (43A peak, 5,000µF max capacitive load), the ESB001 is self-powered, requiring no external supply. It draws just 1.1W at 230Vac and operates reliably from -40°C to +55°C. The compact DIN-rail and wall-mountable IP20 housing (17.9 × 89.5 × 62.8mm, 1TE wide) fits standard TS35mm rails and DIN/VDE0603 cutout boxes. Spring-type terminals accept conductors up to 4mm² / 12AWG for fast, tool-free installation.

Certified to EN62368-1 and compliant with EN55032 Class B EMI, EN61000-6-2 EMS, and RoHS/REACH directives, the ESB001 is a fully compliant, field-proven solution for protecting AC distribution networks in commercial and industrial installations.
