Designed for Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) installations, the panel provides real-time visibility of battery voltage, current and state of charge, ensuring continuous oversight of critical power systems on board vessels.
The panel connects to the Skylla-TG 24/30 or 24/50 GMDSS charger via a standard UTP cable, which also supplies operating power at 9–35Vdc through the VE.Net network. Maximum cable length is 25m, allowing flexible placement away from the charger. Installation is straightforward: mount the panel, connect the UTP cable and the system starts automatically, displaying the battery’s current state.
Configurable alarm thresholds cover low voltage, high voltage, low state of charge, low current and high current conditions. A dedicated charger failure alarm is always active. When an alarm triggers, the panel sounds an audible alert, opens a potential-free relay contact rated at 3A / 30Vdc / 250Vac, and displays the fault condition on screen. The relay output can drive external alarm indicators or integration with vessel monitoring systems.
The panel features adjustable display contrast and backlight settings, user and installer access levels, and an OEM lockout option for commercial installations. Battery capacity, charged voltage threshold and charge efficiency factor are all configurable to match the connected battery bank.
Typical applications include commercial shipping, ferries, offshore platforms and any vessel requiring GMDSS-compliant battery monitoring. The Victron VE.Net GMDSS Panel is part of the Victron Energy marine and professional power range, complementing the Skylla-TG GMDSS charger series.
