Premium CVS-280 SERIES DC/DC Converter
The Premium CVS-280 is a compact 280 W DC/DC converter developed for rail and transportation environments where stable, galvanically isolated auxiliary power is required from high-voltage traction supplies. Designed to operate from 600 / 750 VDC catenary systems and compliant with EN50155:2017, EN50163 and EN50124-2, it delivers dependable performance in rolling stock, onboard control electronics and vehicle auxiliary systems.

- Wide high-voltage catenary input range for rail environments - Designed to operate from 600 / 750 VDC traction systems with tolerance from 400 to 1100 VDC, the CVS-280 is built to handle voltage fluctuations, dips and surge conditions associated with rolling stock power networks.
- High isolation architecture for safety-critical rail applications - The converter provides 7 kVrms galvanic isolation between input and output, with additional isolation to earth, meeting EN50124-1 insulation coordination requirements for safe operation in high-energy onboard environments.
- Stable low-voltage output with tight regulation - Available in 24, 48, 72 and 110 V models, the CVS-280 maintains tight voltage regulation within ±1 percent, ensuring clean, reliable power for control systems, signalling devices, communication electronics and auxiliary loads.
- Robust protection suite for long-term reliability - Integrated protection includes current limiting for overload and short-circuits, reverse polarity protection, under-voltage lockout, input fuse protection and automatic thermal shutdown at high internal temperatures.
- Natural convection cooling for sealed or space-restricted cabinets - The converter delivers full output power from -40 to +70 °C without forced airflow, making it suitable for enclosed compartments, driver consoles, electrical cabinets and environments with limited ventilation.
- Long lifecycle construction with railway-grade mechanical resilience - With a 20-year service design life, an MTBF of 200,000 hours at 40 °C and EN61373 Category 1 Class B shock and vibration compliance, the CVS-280 is engineered to withstand the mechanical demands of rolling stock installations.
