A power-on brake applies torque when it is energised and releases when supply is removed, the opposite of the power-off brakes in the Dunkermotoren range. It is specified where braking is a commanded function rather than a fail-safe one, since the axis is free when the machine is unpowered.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe E105A draws 0.34 A at 8.2 W nominal input power, engaging in 20 ms and releasing in 40 ms. It measures 48 mm in diameter by 47 mm long, weighs 0.175 kg, runs with low noise and carries IP 20 protection as supplied. In an IP65 extruded-body installation it is listed with BG65 and BG75 motors, giving an overall length of 60 mm with the BG65 and 58 mm with the BG75.
