Cosel Develops a New Range of DC/DC Modules in response to an industry demand for increased density and greater miniaturisation

Cosel launches the series upgrade of its CQHS, building on its CBS and DBS series of DC/DC Converters

Cosel, technology "Digital Assist Control" has evolved further, this small high efficiency world-class wireless power supply provides a power amplifier. Cosel has developed the CQHS series.

The CQHS DC-DC module boasts the industry's highest efficiency (94% achieved). Available in 32V and 50V output versions, the new series uses Cosel's proprietary digital assist control combines the best of analogue and digital control in a single microcontroller, enabling complex control.

The CQHS DC-DC module series comes with safety approvals, an input range of 36VDC to 76VDC. The release is intended to help clients meet rigorous low-energy requirements.

Cosel CBS450 Series 450 Watt Single Output High Density Half Brick DC/DC Converter

The CBS450 series a high density DC/DC converter consists of two standard models offering 48VDC Input and outputs of 24 and 28 VDC.

Housed in the industry standard half brick case measuring 2.3″ x 2.4″ x 0.50″, the module is fully encapsulated with a thermally conductive potting compound for superior thermal performance for base plate cooled applications enabling easy attachment of a heat-sink or mounting of the module.

The case operating temperature range of the module is -40 to 100ºC. Features include remote ON/OFF control, output voltage remote sensing and output voltage trim.

All modules are available with either positive or negative ON/OFF logic. The output voltage remote sense feature can compensate for up to a 10% voltage drop on the leads. This ties into the maximum trim limit for the HEW series of 110%. All modules are isolated 1500 VDC, are RoHS compliant and safety approved to UL60950-1 / CUL60950-1 /.

COSEL CES / CQS series of -1 / 8 and 1 / 4 brick-type Module

Isolated input / output voltage, small size, do not need the radiator, low voltage high current DC-DC power module - designed for next-generation telecommunications and data communications industry in the design of DSP and FPGA

COSEL CES series is 1 / 8 brick-type DC-DC modules, single-output 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, 5V and 12V, to achieve maximum power 82.5W. CQS is the 1 / 4 brick-type modules, single-output 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V. CQS line 90 to the power range of 168W. CES/CQS synchronized with the entire circuit (Synchronous Rectifier Circuit), to improve efficiency, reduce wear and tear, CQS is the 92.5% maximum efficiency, power density up to 120W/in 3 (CES) and 134W/in3 (CQS). Besides, the internal lead-free welding and input/output terminals and 1500V isolation voltage is applied to telecommunications applications.

DHS Series

Cosel’s DHS Series includes 50W ,100W and 250W model.

The optimised design by an electromagnetic field simulator and the company’s proprietary digital assist control microcontroller have allowed Cosel to create some of the smallest modules in this class.

The DC-DC modules come in telecommunication standard 1/4 brick and 1/2 brick  and include input-level remote control, an output-voltage adjustment terminal and output-voltage sensing (DHS250B).
