Powerbox Security power supplies for battery back-up
We have recently designed a new security power supply range of units to specifically meet the needs of Australian Security applications. These security power supply units are versatile & suited to a wide variety of Australian applications. They are manufactured in Australia at our Manufacturing Centre in Sydney.
Under normal conditions the units supply the load while float charging a battery. On loss of Mains Power, the battery is connected to the load providing backup. Once Mains has been restored, the battery is again float charged & the AC mains resumes supplying the load. Alarms for dc ok & battery ok can be used to continuously monitor status.
The security power supply units feature an IEC input for safe & easy installation. Plug in Phoenix terminals provide a convenient way of connecting / disconnecting the output & alarm terminals. An optional wall mount box allows one unit + batteries to be enclosed for wall mounting.
The PB256 & PB251 security power supply series are compact switchmode designs rated at 130W & 275-330W respectively. Units are available with either 13.8Vdc or 27.6Vdc output.
The PBBS security power supply series are high efficiency linear topology available at 35W and 70W with output at 13.8Vdc or 27.6Vdc.

The PB 256 DC UPS Battery Charger System has been designed with Australasian situations in mind. Battery back-up applications in industrial, telecoms, security and access control markets. These units are built to provide, connected to a lead-acid battery, to provide uninterrupted power to a DC load in the event of a minas failure.
The PB 256-CML DC UPS Battery Charger employs a high efficiency switching technology. Combining this with very low output noise making it suitable for powering a wide range of loads such as communication systems, control equipment and alarm systems. The units contain a two step current limited float charger, battery charge current limiting along with a battery low voltage disconnect and mains/charger and battery alarms.
A supplementary heatsink is required for 140W models to operate at maximum power. A natural convection cooling is employed by all models.
The PB 256 DC UPS Battery Chargers have been design by Powerbox Australia to their exacting standards and are built at our facilities.
