Vicor - Eight new wide input 28V micro DC-DC converters

Powerbox is delighted to announce the addition of eight wide-input Micro DC-DC Converters to Vicor’s 28VDC input family.
The new models have nominal output voltages ranging from 3.3 to 48VDC and a maximum power of 100W (50W at 3.3Vout and 5Vout, and 100W at 12, 15, 24, 28, 36 and 48Vout). The modules target either 12V or 24V applications, such as MIL-COTS or commercial battery systems in vehicles. They also meet the European standard for electronic equipment used in rolling stock; EN50155, and can be used in a variety of vehicle or man-portable applications including lighting, communications, portable test equipment, display and control systems.
With efficiency up to 82%, the converters operate from 28V nominal input with an input range of 9 to 36V. The models are available in four environmental grades - with operating temperatures as low as -55C - with six pin options and three baseplate options. The compact modules are also available in RoHS-compliant variants, and measure a compact 57.9mm x 36.8mm x 12.7mm, with a wide trim range of 10% to 110% of nominal output voltage, says the company.
